Part 2 of Pictures Explained

Katimavik pictures - part 3

These pictures are from a Santa's breakfast that we volunteered at, and I believe that it was at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. After that crazy fun comes pictures taken during our visit to the Market later that day. Then there are shots of everyone hanging out in our room, relaxing in the evening, surfing the net on a laptop, listening to music and taking random pictures of each other.

Katimavik pictures - part 4

Well, when people are bored and there is a supply of excess condoms lying around, random, non-dirty things may occur. Like, someone trying to put one on their head, for instance. Bobble-head bears are apparently quite amusing to some. Others, like myself just change the colour of their hair to something a little more subtle, like electric pink for instance.

Katimavik pictures - part 5

These are slightly out of order as it took me a while afterwards before I could post them. This is Band Together 2, a tribute for a local artist who died of cancer. We had a reputable source say that it was worthwhile to go to it to see a local band called Hot Toddy. Hot Toddy had the misfortune of being last on the bill, and were preceded by miserable bands, though each one got ever so slightly better. We hung around for a while trying to kill time, hence the pictures as a result. The list of bands not to see: (in order of appearance) Melon Works, Naked Dayz, Grand Theft Bus, and All of Green. We heard Hot Toddy's CD later and they would have been worth seeing if we had had a nap while the first four bands played.

Anyways thats all for now.

Hurray! Finally, descriptions! And funny ones!

Grammie & Grampie here safely - Alice doing homework and learning to play bridge (always a cardshark!).

Had to put a new battery in the Mazda. Had a bonus choir practice on Monday night, when it was REALLY cold. Took the van, as it was first in the driveway. It made a funny noise, so I parked it in Granddad's space and decided to take the Mazda. You know how the battery was weak last year? Well, you're not here to run it every day, and it was dead. So now I'm 10 minutes late - I decide to borrow Millie's K-car. Ooops - forgot that she can't hear the door - back home to call her. She said "Of course, just let me take the mothballs out of the engine."

??????

Yes, mothballs in onion bags, placed strategically in the engine to repel rats.

Got to choir practice, although her car was balky in the cold. Guess what? It's the AA Christmas Party. Wind up parking by lake.

Left practice early (8:30) to be sure to get a battery at CTC. Bought the 3 year good quality one - they tried to sell me the 3x warranty. Nine year warranty on the battery for a sixteen year old car!
