Nov.24 - Part 2

It has been a busy few days. After touring the city in the van and on foot, there were a bunch of housekeeping activities and such, and some get to know each other activities. Its absolutely great since everybody is from all over the country, and things are really eye-opening to just how big Canada is. Its been nothing but laughs from the beginning and I'm settling in nicely. My only complaint is that the spacebar is sticky so if my words blend, you know why. I have been keeping a journal with my daily thoughts and activities so that I can post when I have the chance, the computer sees a lot of use here. Right now things aren't incredibly exciting to write about since its been mostly settling in, but Wednesday I start working. I'm going to see if I can post pictures since I've taken a bunch of the house, but I'm not sure when they will be on-line. I miss some things about Ontario, mainly people, but the scenery and the air out here are beautiful. We have had snow for the last two days, not much but enough to cover everything in a layer of white. I have to pack to go to Mass Orientation so this is all for now.

Sunday Nov 27th The four of us went to St. Judes Advent dinner. Andrew Brockett put on a story re the 1000 year wait the Israelities had for Christ. The kids were the Isrealites, six of the Dads were the mean, vicious soldiers. We all sang verses of OH Come Emmanuel. The Lasagne, roll and salad were great- but the Peppermint with large silvers of chocolate was superb. Love your journal and you -Gmum/dad
